Precise Brows

So this is my second time going here. The first time, a lady with glasses did my eyebrows, and I liked her—she was very sweet and helpful. The second time I went, a different lady did my eyebrows. While she was doing them, I kept flinching and moving because, you know, it’s a natural response. She said in a passive-aggressive tone, “Can you relax, please?” but okay, whatever. When she finished and I was paying, I was looking at my eyebrows, and she said, “Oh, you should wax your upper lip.” I was taken aback and kind of offended because I don’t really have hair there like that. I said no. Honestly, I blame myself a little here because I could’ve just stuck with no, but I ended up saying yes. I asked her twice if $10 would cover it, and she said yes, so I agreed. When she finished, she walked away, so I left because I had already paid. As I was about to cross the street, she came running out of the store, stopped me, and said it was $13. I asked why she told me $10 would cover it, and she just repeated that it was $13. I probably should’ve just kept walking, but I tried to be nice and respectful, so I kept talking to her. I told her I only had an extra dollar and gave it to her. Then she asked if I could pay her another way, like come back and pay the rest. I felt like I was being taken advantage of because I’m young. I’m not going back to pay her because she lied about the price. If an adult had been with me, I honestly don’t think she would’ve done that.

DISGUSTED IS NOT EVEN A WORD TO DESCRIBE WHAT I’M FEELING. I went in for a threading on my eyebrows, the brows weren’t great they were meh. But the upper lip ? HORRIBLE. She went over my upper lip more than 10 times she BURNED my skin. I woke up today and now it looks like I have herpes!!!!!! I will NEVERRRR come back. I have a trip this upcoming week and idk what to do. I’m livid!!!!

The owner is the only person at this salon who truly knows how to shape and thread eyebrows properly. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff I’ve dealt with have been unprofessional, careless, and lacking the skill needed for this type of work. My first bad experience was over a two ago with one of the employees (a heavier-set woman). While threading my brows, she actually caught my eyelashes in the thread and pulled some out. That experience was painful, careless, and unacceptable. I told myself I would never return after that. Fast forward nearly two years later: I was running late for an event and, because this is the closest eyebrow place to me, I decided to give it one more chance. I asked the lady — who seemed new and inexperienced — to simply clean up my brows and give them a sharp arch. I emphasized that my eyebrows are naturally very thick and I just wanted them shaped neatly, not thinned. Instead, I left with eyebrows that are completely uneven and shaped differently from one another. She thinned them out so much that they look nothing like what I asked for. One brow is noticeably different from the other, and the overall look is sloppy and rushed. It’s extremely frustrating to come in with simple, clear instructions and leave with results that are the exact opposite. This place lacks consistency, proper training, and professionalism from anyone other than the owner. I will not be coming back again, no matter how convenient the location is. EDIT: The photo below shows that she cut me and that’s scabs on my eyebrows.
